What you need to know before signing a contract
To make your vacation and travel memorable only with pleasant impressions, when renting a car in the UAE, consider the following:
Traffic in the United Arab Emirates is on the right.
It is customary to move along the central lanes (the extreme lanes are left for special cases).
Be sure to fasten your seat belts – this is carefully monitored by representatives of the UAE authorities.
Speed limits when driving in the city – 40...80 km / h, on the highway – 100 ... 120 km / h. Please note that there are radars on all roads, and fines are issued and sent to the company from which the car was rented. The amount of the fine for speeding varies from 200 dirhams.
If by renting a car, you have violated the rules of the road, your driver's license may be taken away from you. Do not even try to bribe a policeman, as you may face criminal liability for this.
In addition, so that car rental in the UAE is not overshadowed by a fine, keep in mind that alcohol in the car can only be transported by residents, and then with a special license.
